I understand the interior design and organizing niches and write about them easily because I had my own professional organizing business, Organized With Ease, for several years where I organized offices, taught seminars, and wrote about organizing. I currently provide virtual organizing Consulting/Coaching Services. I also completed my interior decorating studies through Decorators Training Institute and had my own decorating website business. In fact, as you will see by my Published Writing Samples, decorating and organizing are my published writing specialties. Read My Bio.
I also love to write Christian meditations and inspiration, and my husband and I are veteran Bed & Breakfast inn travelers. (We’ve stayed in over 60 B&Bs in 17 states since 1987, so I know what to look for!)
What is your educational background for writing?
I hold a B.A. in English and Education from South Dakota State University.
What types of projects don’t you do?
I do not do resumes and cover letters, business plans, dissertations, term papers, or write for the medical, computer, or other technical industries.
How will you get the “flavor” of my project, especially if you don’t know my industry?
I will interview you extensively on the phone about your project before commencing any work. After interviewing people for so many years, I’m able to easily get a grasp of your project needs, and I hear you say things that you may not even realize should be woven into your writing project. Remember, it’s my job to get your passion about your project or business down on paper, and it’s what I absolutely love to do! That being said, if I feel I cannot do your project justice for any reason, I will not take it on and will be honest in telling you so.
If I already have something written can you just touch it up?
Absolutely. I also provide editing services.
Do you do proofreading of existing copy that I have already written?
Yes.
What if I don’t like what you’ve written? Will you rewrite it?
Yes, I do my best to please my clients, and rewriting is usually part of the process, but since I interview you extensively by phone up front, I can often write well on the first try.
How long do you take to do a project?
It all depends on the scope of the job. Most projects take two to three weeks to
complete. But a large project such as lengthy website copy could take weeks or
months, and a very short project could take 48 hrs.
I needed this yesterday, can you help?
It depends on the project, situation, and client. If it is a true emergency for a good client, I will do my best to work it in. Rush jobs do cost extra, however.
Do you submit the press releases you write to the media?
No, I just write copy.
Do you do all the writing yourself or do you subcontract work out?
You get my personal attention and 20+ years of experience. I do not subcontract any work out, and I take pride in my customer service.
Do you do graphics and layout for company brochures and websites?
No, I write copy only.
What are your rates?
Your project is unique so the final cost all depends on the scope of the project.

For your convenience, I accept credit card payments through PayPal. You do not have to have a PayPal account. I also accept business and personal checks and money orders.
